Research cruise careers through official channels
Cruise lines recruit for hospitality, culinary, entertainment, technical, marine and other functions, but requirements differ by role and company. Start with the cruise line’s official careers site. If an intermediary is involved, verify that relationship independently before sharing documents or paying any fee.
Typical preparation areas
Applicants may need role-relevant experience, interviews, medical fitness, travel documents and, for some roles, maritime or safety credentials. Do not assume every certificate advertised by a training provider is required for your target role. Confirm requirements with the employer or authorized recruiter.
Recruiter verification
Check the recruiter’s legal identity, official domain and any registration or licensing that applies. Compare the opportunity with the cruise line’s own information. Never treat a logo, WhatsApp message or branded PDF as proof by itself.
Use the Kenya cruise recruiter verification checklist.
