Scholarship Research & Verification

Scholarship research starts with the official funder or university announcement. Eligibility, coverage and deadlines change; never rely solely on third-party summaries.

Verify scholarships at the source

A scholarship listing is useful for discovery, but the official funder or university announcement controls the real eligibility, deadline and funding terms. Always locate that source before spending money, preparing documents or relying on an award amount.

What to check

  • Eligible nationalities, programmes and study levels.
  • Whether admission and scholarship applications are separate.
  • Tuition coverage, stipend, travel, insurance and exclusions.
  • Required references, essays, tests or work experience.
  • The official application portal and closing date for the correct intake.

Avoid scholarship fraud

No legitimate third party can guarantee a competitive award. Be cautious about personal-account payments, “reserved slots,” unofficial forms or messages asking for banking credentials. Verify the sender’s domain and navigate to the official application portal independently.
